About	Billy served our country with courage. He was a Ranger in WWII and a POW in Oflag 64. He retired as a Major and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He. Was a dedicated husband and father. His wife, Mary Emma Butts Shular, fell and broke her pelvis in four places as she was leaving home to go to his funeral. She never recovered and followed him in death a few months later.
