May McRobie Retires

May McRobie, Speech Language Pathologist for Alcoa City School Systems, is retiring after many years of service. 50th Wedding Anniversary

Joan Parrish Lankford (1958) and Darrell Mark Lankford (1959) celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary at Green Meadow Country Club on June 20, 2009. They were joined with many friends and family. Their family includes daughter, Patricia Ann Hudson and husband Terry Wayne Hudson of Greenback and John David Lankford and wife, Dawn Marie Lankford of Alcoa. Their grandchildred includes Kyle Wayne Hudson of Greenback, Alicia Marie Lankford of Knoxville, Sharon Joan Lankford of Alcoa, Brandi Lynn Forcier and husband, Tony Forcier of Parma, Michigan. They have one great granddaughter, Kaylee Marie of Parma, Michigan.

Darrell is retired from Oak Ridge Associated University and does part-time consulting with the Department of Energy. Joan is retired from Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Darrell enjoys fishing, golfing and wood turning. Joan enjoys making stained glass art. The couple spend much of their leisure time at their cabin that adjoins Cherokee National Forest in Tellico Plains.
