About	Mrs. Linda (McLeod) Stewart-Stokes, born September 23, 1950 -- age 55, a native of Mobile and a resident of Semmes died on Monday, May 22, 2006 at a local hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, A.C. and Betty McLeod, brother, Roddy McLeod. She is survived by her husband, Melvin Franklin Stokes, six children, Daryl (Dianne) Stewart of Mobile, Kimberly (Perry) Griffin of Chickasaw, Shanna Howell of Mobile, Paul Stewart, Jr. of Fowl River, Kim Stewart of Daphne, Ashley Gautier of Gautier, MS, 12 grandchildren, Katie Stewart of Creola, Priscilla Griffin, Joseph Griffin, Joshua Griffin all of Chickasaw, Taylor Stewart of Mobile, Jessica Howell, Trent Howell both of Mobile, Joseph Stewart, Holly Stewart, Brittney Stewart all of Fowl River, Hannah Gautier, Claire Gauitier of Gautier, MS, one great-granddaughter, Jayla Nicole Lofton of Creola, four sisters, Charlene (Buck) Seaman of Irvington, Virginia Knodel of Mobile, Bonnie (Jimmy) Kent, Brenda Waldrop, three brothers, Ronnie (Theresa) McLeod, Bruce (Chrissy) McLeod both of Mobile, Bobby York of Kentucky, sister-in-law, Mai McLeod of Mobile, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Thursday, May 25, 2006 at 10 A.M. Visitation will be 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
