George W. Parker
Class of 1912
My name is John David Parker. My great grand father, Charles Irving Parker, was the first principal of Bowen Highschool. He was born March 10,1838 in the town of Bedford, New Hampshire and was a graduate of Dartmouth College. He served the Union Army in the U.S. Civil War and afterwards became an educator. He was the Principal of Bowen Highschool from 1889 thru 1916 and died May 3rd 1916. He is buried in Chicago's Oakwood Cemetery. My father George W. Parker, grandson of Charles I. Parker, graduated from Bowen Highschool in the year 1912. Do you have any records about Charles I. Parker and/or my father? I would appriciate hearing from you.
