Our 50th Class Reunion will be held on:
Date: Sat., June 1, 2019
Time: 11:00 am to 4:00 pm

The Mask House

Your RSVP is requested no later than noon, Mon., May 20, 2019 in order for The Mask House to prepare for our group. The cost per person will be $15 that includes sales tax and a gratuity. I will pay the tab with a personal check rather than having individual tabs.
Wine and beer is not included in the above; but will be available by cash or run ticket basis only.
We will use The Mask House as our base throughout the duration of the reunion as a come and go venue. Classmates are encouraged to visit and/or shop with the merchants in the newly renovated downtown Bridgeport. And, you may want to cruise around Bridgeport and the surrounding areas to the see all of the changes that have occurred since your last time here. Lake Bridgeport is looking very good with the recent rains having brought an overage to conservation capacity. The 380 corridor has many businesses, eateries and hotel accommodations that may be of interest to you.
Again, submit your RSVP. Any classmate that is a member of Facebook and in my contacts should have received the official invitation per Facebook Events awhile back. Others were invited via email, text message or Messenger.
I am looking forward to seeing as many of our classmates as possible at this significant milestone reunion.

Great reunion celebration at The Mask House today. 50 years since we graduated from Bridgeport High School - Bridgeport, Texas. Class of 1969; graduates totaled 69. 25 of us, not counting spouses that attended today. We spent quality time together reminiscing about our school days; and, catching up with one another since our last reunion in 2014. It doesn’t seem possible that time has passed so quickly.
We began our reunion with a prayer given by Doug Bridwell and then had lunch served buffet-style. We spent the afternoon visiting followed by a short memorial service, conducted by Gatha Fleming Longley, before wrapping up for the day. We recognized 21 of our classmates that have passed on by calling out each individual’s name.
I would be remiss if I didn’t mention and give a big credit to Debbie Workman, Owner-Chef and her staff, for a spectacular job taking care of our group. I highly recommend that anyone that hasn’t dined at The Mask House, to try it. Or, utilize it for meetings, reunions, parties, etc. It’s local, quaint and comfortable with its antique furnishings, sitting areas for conversation and/or ample sitting at tables/chairs outside amongst the wild flowers. Added bonuses are the collections of memorabilia from Mack’s Department Store, a mainstay in Bridgeport for many years until the 1960’s. Mack, Mr. Mask, was the original owner of the house where the restaurant now stands. So much history and memories conjured up today.
Thank you, classmates, for making this reunion extra special. I had a great time and I’m already looking forward to our next one.
