About	A consultant, editor, chief of public information and director of fundraising for several organizations, Sherry died of lung cancer at her home in Washington.D.C., at age 66. . From 2002 to 2008, Sherry was director of development for the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism, where she raised more than $1.7 million annually. Since then, she had been a fundraising and public relations consultant. She was a 1968 graduate of the University of Cincinnati, where she also received a master’s degree (1969) and a doctorate (1980), both in English and American literature. She also was an editor of publications at the Menninger Foundation in Topeka, Kan., before moving to Washington in 1985. Survivors included her husband, Fred N. Reiner, rabbi emeritus of Temple Sinai in Washington; and a son, Rabbi David Levy Reiner of Geneva, N.Y..
