Jim Blackwell

Jim Blackwell

Class of 2002

Jim Blackwell graduated from Clyde High School in 2002 along with a class of 98 members. Jim Blackwell was an elite track and powerlifting athlete making it to the state finals in 2002 in discus and still holds the Clyde High School powerlifting squat record of 510 lbs. Jim Blackwell attended college at Tarleton State University from 2002 through 2006 and became a police officer. Jim Blackwell has subsequently became a well recognized Narcotics Officer in the State Of Texas seizing hundreds of pounds of narcotics during his short time as an officer. Jim Blackwell has been awarded a number of awards while being an officer to include being the only officer to receive a Life Saving Bar while in Bridgeport, Texas. Jim Blackwell responded to a major apartment fire which was fully engulfed and risked his own life to save an elderly lady who was trapped inside her apartment which was on fire. Jim Blackwell entered the apartment with no fire suit or breathing apparatus and pulled the elderly female to safety while having his uniform melt to his bulletproof vest in the process. Jim Blackwell has also been recognized as the top narcotics officer in Baylor County, Texas. Jim Blackwell has had numerous articles written about his narcotic seizures to include one published in the Clyde Journal as recently as March of 2009. Jim Blackwell has done an amazing job as a Law Enforcement Officer and is highly thought of as the best narcotics officer in North Texas. Officer Jim Blackwell deserves to be on the Wall of Fame for all the above listed reasons and many more of which I don't know of.
