Helen (Boganski) Henderson

Class of 1971

Burst Books has contracted two of Helen (Boganski) Henderson’s (class of '71) novels for summer 2012 releases. The fantasy, Windmaster Legacy continues the story of the sea captain Lady Ellspeth and the dark-haired archmage Lord Dal. Trapped by the rogue wizard, Bashim, Ellspeth is forced to rely on the powers of an untrained mage for survival. The only problem is—her sole hope for escape is Bashim's apprentice. Windmaster Legacy is the sequel to Champagne Books 2011 release, Windmaster. An exciting weave of romance and adventure, Windmaster is available in ebook and print formats from the publisher or at Amazon.com. The ebook is also available from Barnes and Noble or other online bookstores.

Henderson’s second 2012 release, Dragon Destiny, tells the story of Branin, the last dragon shifter born in over 300 years. As a dragshi, he can take the form of his dragon soul twin, Llewlyn and knows the freedom of flight, but not happiness. Both are the last of their kind and have waited millenia for their mates. When a faint thought impinged on Branin's mind, hope for an ending to eons of loneliness soared. Plagued by doubts because no signs of a dragon shifter's birth have been seen, Branin searches the world for the mysterious girl he only knows by the name, Anastasia. All that stands between their happiness is destiny—and the Lady Broch who is determined to have Branin for herself.

Windmaster Legacy and Dragon Destiny will join Henderson’s portfolio of hundreds of articles on topics ranging from local and military history to bicycling the mid-Atlantic region and her local histories published by Arcadia Press as part of the firm's Making of America series and Images of America series.
