Kenneth J. Booth, 68, passed away peacefully Monday, April 6, 2009, at home.
Funeral: 3:30 p.m. Friday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home.
Memorials: Community Hospice of Texas.
Kenneth was born Aug. 26, 1940, in Sulphur Springs and moved to Fort Worth in 1948. He graduated from Diamond Hill-Jarvis High School in 1959 and married Evangeline Wakefield. He began his lifelong career at Hardy's Hydramatic on North Main Street in 1960, and in 1984 purchased the business. Kenneth's philosophy on life and work was, "If you don't have time to do it right the first time, when will you find the time to do it over?"
He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Booth.
Survivors: Loving wife of 49 years, Evangeline Booth; adoring daughters, Carol Dennis and husband, Harold, and Vickie Heaslet and husband, Rickie; son, Ronny Booth and wife, Demi; mother, Myrtle Booth; sister, Patricia Jesser and husband, Rick; brother, Gary Booth and wife, Kathy; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
