What is Josh White known for?

Josh White, born on March 8, 1977, in Galveston, Texas, is a former American football player known for his roles as a fullback and linebacker. He played his high school football at Farrington High School in Honolulu, Hawaii, following a transfer from Admiral Arthur W. Radford High School. Despite being blind in his left eye due to a childhood accident, White earned first-team all-state honors as a running back during his high school career.

After high school, he began his college football career at Snow College helping the Badgers to a 10–1 record in his freshman year while rushing 142 times for 619 yards and nine touchdowns. After showing his potential with the Badgers, he transferred to the University of California, Berkeley, where he played for the California Bears from 1997 to 1999, recording 339 yards and five touchdowns on 95 rushing attempts.

White's professional career began with the Hawaiian Islanders in the Arena Football League's development league, af2, from 2002 to 2003. He later played for several Arena Football League teams from 2003 to 2010, including the New York Dragons, Austin Wranglers, Utah Blaze, Dallas Desperados, Dallas Vigilantes, and Chicago Rush. His career highlights include being named to the Second Team All-Arena in 2007.

Over the course of his professional football career, White made significant contributions to his teams' successes, with 112 tackles, 4.5 sacks, 1,009 rushing yards, 50 rushing touchdowns, and 8 receiving touchdowns. His performance and achievements have made him a notable alumnus of Farrington High School.
