Rebecca (Becky) Lynn Drennan , 44,
died Wednesday, June 2, 2010 in Aiken, SC after a courageous battle with
ovarian cancer.
Becky grew up in Grafton, WV and was the daughter of Charles F. Drennan and Betty L. Frank Drennan.
She graduated from Grafton High School in 1983 and earned her BS -
Family Resources , BS-Marketing ,
and MS Industrial Labor Relations from West Virginia University.
Becky had resided in Aiken, SC for the last 20 years where she worked in human resources at Westinghouse Savannah River Site, Emerson and Fuji Film.
In addition to her career, Becky was an avid chef, decorator, and
animal lover.
Survivors in addition to her parents Charles and Betty Drennan of Grafton, WV include, a brother Brian Drennan of Beaver Falls, PA;
her three cats, Calliope , Emily and Lucy; aunts and uncles, Merle and Karen Frank, of Sidney, OH, Robert Thorn, of Grafton WV, Frances Kisner, of Fairmont WV, and Hope Schmuck, Grafton WV; as well as numerous cousins and friends.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Dottie and Walter Frank and her paternal grandparents, Fred and Virginia Drennan.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Beulah Baptist Church, Route 50, Pruntytown, on Saturday, June 26, at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. A private family burial service will be held at the Woodsdale Cemetery in Grafton.
While her life in years was cut short, Becky subscribed to the belief
that ",life is not measured by the number of breaths that we take,
but by the number of moments that take your breath away."
By that account Becky lived a full life.
In the spirit of Becky's charitable nature and in lieu of flowers,
the family suggests that memorial donations may be made to any
SPCA, Humane Society or cancer research organization.
