Class of 1959
With one semester of Art in high school, I went on to receive a Masters in Drawing/Painting/and Photography at UofM in Ann Arbor. I taught visual arts
for 30 years, while concurrently pursuing a career as a professional fine artist.
I've been a mixed media artist, specializing in gallery exhibits, public, private,
and corporate fine art commissions and installations.
I've had lots of solo shows and invitations to prestigious exhibitions, including
the Florence Bienalle in Italy, where my 7'x7' work, Judgment, received the
Leonardo il Magnifico Medal. While in Michigan, I received two Michigan Art Council
Creative Artist Grants, and, since retirement from teaching in 1995, moved to
Santa Fe, New Mexico, with its 250+ galleries, where my work was accepted in
a premier gallery. I also gained representation in fine galleries in Denver, Aspen,
and Chicago.
