About	Joseph Montgomery Shields, 22, Greensburg, died Friday, April 6, 2007. He was born on March 20, 1985 in Terre Haute, Indiana. Joey loved life, he loved his Hoosiers, his Colts, and his Tarheels, and more than anything else, he loved his friends and family and was always, always there when they needed him. His smile and laugh and sparkling eyes will be missed the most. He is the son of Monty and Kathy (Burkhart) Shields and brother of Joshua and Jacob of Greensburg. Joey is survived by his parents, brothers, grandparents; O.H. Montgomery and Marianne C. Shields of Seymour and Carl Joe and Elizabeth Burkhart of Greensburg. He is survived as well by his loving aunts; Deanna (John) Fox of Greensburg, Patricia (James) Spaulding of Westfield, Regina Treash of Greensburg, Katie (Mike) Hall of Seymour, and his uncles; Mike (Susie) Burkhart of Batesville, and John (Melissa) Shields of Seymour. Joey is also survived by many cousins, great aunts and uncles as well as many friends as there are stars in heaven. Joey was a graduate of St. Mary’s and a 2003 graduate of GCHS. Joey was a member of the GCHS golf team and led the 2003 Big Blue Tailgating Crew. He attended Indiana State University. He worked at Valeo since August of last year and before that he was a cook at A&W for six years.
