About Me	I hired into General Motors in 1964. I was an hourly employee until 1974 where I went on salary. I spent most of my career in Lansing working in the Quality dept.. In 1992 in transferred to the Product Engineering dept. where I managed a Competitive Assessment Center for a couple of years. General Motors than moved there Product Engineering dept. down to Warren, MI to their Technical Center. I became part of the Export Engineering dept. and had responsibilities for compliance to Easter Europe regulations for the Small Car Group in GM. I later became the integration engineer for GM's right-hand drive Chevrolet Cavalier that we sold to Toyota of Japan. I interfaced with Toyota Engineering and GM of Japan for a few years. I was becoming weary of the commute from Haslett to Warren so I transferred to the GM plant on West Saginaw street where I was the ISO co-chair for the assembly plant. I retired in 2005 after 40+ years. Lynda and I spend most of our summers at our cabin in Brevort, MI which is approx. 18 miles west of St. Ignace. The cabin is on Lake Michigan, although you have to walk across highway US-2 to the beach. On most days we take walks on the beach and do alot of reading while we're down there.
