John Anthony Randle is an American football legend, prominently known for his role as a defensive tackle. He was born on December 12, 1967, in Mumford, Texas. Randle attended Hearne High School in Hearne, Texas, a foundation that spurred his trajectory in the sporting world.

Despite not being drafted in the 1990 NFL Draft, Randle embarked on an outstanding professional career, proving himself as one of the greatest undrafted players of all time. Randle played for the Minnesota Vikings from 1990 to 2000 and the Seattle Seahawks from 2001 to 2003. During his 11-season tenure with Minnesota and three seasons with Seattle, Randle became one of the most dominant defensive tackles of his era.

Randle's strength and agility on the field led him to many high-profile achievements. Among his most impressive statistics are his 137.5 sacks, which rank first among defensive tackles and tenth overall in NFL history. He also registered 556 total tackles, 29 forced fumbles, 11 fumble recoveries, 1 interception, and scored 1 defensive touchdown.
