About	if you were in the portland metro area in the later months of 2009, you might remember hearing about a string of domestic murder-suicides. sadly sheena was a victim of one of these attacks when her boyfriend walked into her place of work and murdered her in cold blood before cowardly shooting himself in the head (which he missed and spent 2 more days at the hospital before dying). i only wish to have this page remain in the name of my dead friend, because i just genuinely miss my friend. one of the very few i had in my short time at HHS. especially at a time when both boys and girls are awkward around the opposite sex, it never was with sheena. she also seemed to know that i had a gift that i didn't even realize i had until, after being around her so much, i had enough confidence to pursue my dreams, which have turned out better than i could hope. i just wished i had been able to connect with her before her passing, it was nearly 4 years when she passed, and given how close we were, a phone call every now and then wouldn't have been so bad. regardless, sheena was a bright, wide-eyed young woman whom i hold in high respect, and she will never be far from my thoughts, as i owe her so much. if there is one thing we can take from this tragedy, is that, while domestic violence is 85% man on woman violence, we all must work and educate those around us on not elevating situations into domestic violence. we are supposed to love and comfort those we give our hearts to, not batter and degrade that person. you will never be far from any of us, sheena. im sure i speak for the school, as well myself in saying that your passing has dimmed the sun if only a bit, but dimmer it seems without you.
