About	Donald Robertson of Vancouver, WA passed away in his home on April 28, 2012. He was born in Des Moines, WA to Bob and Gerry Robertson (both deceased). "I, Don's older brother by one year, was very close to him. Besides our childhood crib, we shared many good memories over the years. Don was a lifetime resident of his beloved Vancouver, WA. He went on to purchase his childhood home where he grew up. Don spent most of his life in the Tool & Die industry working for several companies in the Pacific Northwest. He had a great variety of friends and rarely met a person he didn't like. He was someone you could confide in and know he would be giving you his honest opinion. Sometimes if he wasn't too worn out from a days work or adventures you could sometimes talk him into a game of backgammon or chess, although he never did learn how to lose. He had many outdoor hobbies ranging from hang gliding and owning and sailing a Hobie Cat as a younger man to his motorcycling, skiing, white water rafting and camping which he spent years enjoying with friends. Don had a love of movies and ability to critique them in a way that made it so you would want to see one you might never have thought you would. The love of the water withstood the test of time with Don and between float-tube fishing, regular and fly fishing he remained an enthusiast to the last, even spending the afternoon of the day he passed, digging worms for an opening day fishing trip. When at home in the evenings you could find him with his loving cats, Shocti and Feets vying for best snuggle place and warm attention he gave them. We will remember that warm deep rumbling laugh and kind heart forever. May you rest in peace brother Don. Now when I hear a big bike outside I look to see if it's you on a ride up the gorge to say hi. Our hearts are heavy with great memories of you Don. With love, we say farewell." Don is survived by his daughter, Amy and her husband Jeremy; three grandchildren, Melina, Mason and Declan; and brothers, Joseph and Rob.
