| About | Roberta 66, of Saginaw, Mi., formerly of Huntington,WV, went home to be with her Lord September 10, 2014, after a long hard battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). Roberta is survived by her son Derek (Dak) M. Hard wick and daughter-in-law Mary Beth Morgan of Alexandria, Va.; sister Lana Paul Spencer; brother William Paul, Jr. Of Saginaw, Mi.; William (Bill) Bunch of Huntington. Roberta was a member of the graduating class of Huntington East High School. She loved her years as a Highlander and as a majorette. Roberta was also a graduate of the class of 1987 from Marshall University. Roberta was an avid tennis fan and award winning coach. Her "Pony Express" tennis teams won two state titles for Huntington High. When Huntington High consolidated with Huntington East, Roberta's coaching skills helped her new team to win another state title. After moving to Saginaw, Mi.., in 2000, she coached the boys and girls tennis teams at Arthur Hill High School for four years, where she was named Saginaw Valley coach of the year in 2004. Roberta considered her friends as one of life's greatest blessings and she lived life with a passion a lesson we could all learn. |
