Went back to visit the Sisters shortly after Hurricane Charlie ripped through Punta Gorda. Fortunately My home was spared but there was a lot of damage to my community. Sister M Patricia (my 7th Grade Teacher) met me at the door and took me upstairs to meet Sister M Bernadette 9my 5th Grade teacher). She was in a wheelchair and suffering from dementia. It was hard seeing her in this condition because my last memories of her were back in 1955. Sr. M Patricia told me she was excited about learning Spanish. I had a nice visit with her and I
was glad I stopped in. I have nothing but wonderful memories about my years at IWA, from my fellow students, my teachers and the great learning experience they provided.
