Ted Hanket
Class of 1982
Whle at John Marshall High School, Ted was in the National Honor Society, on the tennis team and was a student athletic trainer for the football team. Ted was graduated from WVU in December, 1986 with a Bachelors Degree in science and physics. At that time, he became a substitute teacher in Marshall and surrounding counties. Ted taught at Paden City Middle School and Tyler Consolidated before coming to Marshall County in 1995 where he taught at Union Jr. High School and Moundsville Jr. High School before transferring to the physics department of John Marshall High School. He received his Masters Degree from WVU.
Ted has coached tennis, basketball, and football while teaching.
Ted joined the U. S. Navy Reserves in December, 1986. He was called to active duty for Operation Desert Storm in 2002 where he served in San Diego, California. He achieved the rank of Chief Petty Officer in 2006.
Ted is a dedicated individual who gives his all to his family, employer and country.
Ted and his wife, Beth live in Moundsville with their children, Brittany, Sydney, Courtney and Devin.
