About	Known as Billy Matthews William H. Matthews, III entered into rest August 8, 2010 in San Antonio at the age of 33. He was born December 18, 1976 in Lancaster, California to William H. Matthews, Jr. and the late Shirley A. Matthews. He dedicated time in the Persian Gulf, Afghanistan, and Iraq while proudly serving in the U.S. Army. Billy is preceded in death by his mother, and a sister, Marilyn Towles. He is survived by his wife, Katherine Matthews; father, William H. Matthews, Jr.; brother, Scott Matthews; sister, Genna Martini; four nephews, Cody Matthews, Chase Matthews, Colton Witt, Matteo Martini; and a niece, Emerie Rose Pallos. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 12, 2010 at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Bandera Road. A Chapel Service will be held at 9:00 a.m. Friday, August 13, 2010 at the funeral home with interment to follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
