Cynthia Elaine Woodard McClain
Class of 1990
During her years at Josey, Cynthia played on the basketball team under Mrs. Brantley.
She attended Voorhees College in Denmark, South Carolina where she reccived a B.S. Degree in Biology.
Afew years passed and she married Mr. David Mclain and now is the mother of two children, Jaren and Davia.
Cynthia enlisted in the U.S Army, did basic training at Fort Jackson and received a medal for sharpshooting.
She was sent to Texas for AIT Training and then stationed at Fort Drum, NY for four years.
Her next deployment sent her to back to Fort Stewart wher she remained until March when she deployed to Korea for one year.
After returning home to Augusta, she was transferred to Fort Stewart, GA. and remained there until her deployment to Iraq, where she served as a Medic for 15 months. Cynthia holds the rank of Staff Sargeant and presently resides at Fort Stewart, GA. with her family.
Through all the absences from her family, she still possess the same cheery attitude towards life.
When I ask her, why she remains in the Army, her reply, "It's my job".
