Happy 80th Birthday to Warren Lowe, on February 7th

Some will remember Mr. Lowe from Maple Park Elementary School where he taught 4th, 5th and 6th grade from the mid 1960’s to 1976. Before his teaching career, Mr. Lowe served in the US Air Force and received his degree from Northern Illinois University. Prior to teaching for the Kaneland School District, he taught for the Huntley and DeKalb School Districts. Mr. Lowe also farmed full time in the Sycamore area. When he retired from teaching he continued to farm and pursued a master’s degree in theology. He eventually retired from preaching and farming and has enjoyed spending his retirement volunteering around the globe through mission work helping to build structures for orphanages and schools from South America to India. He continues his love for learning and has attended over 100 Elder Hostels sometimes with friends and relatives in tow.
