About Me I enjoy hearing from old friends, and meeting new people. Biography Bill Fairbrother was born in Wisconsin and moved to Plano, Texas when he was 11 years old. Chairman Fairbrother earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Mathematics and Computer Science from Baylor University in 1988. This was followed by a Master of Arts degree in Mathematics from Indiana University in 1990. Bill has over 20 years of experience in the high-tech computer industry, working for IBM, Dell, and as an independent contractor. He currently works as a technology and political consultant. Politics is a full-time (unfortunately unpaid) labor of love for him. Bill’s earliest political memory is the 1976 Presidential election when he was disappointed that more of the country was President Ford's color, yet he was not winning. It took a year or two for population densities and electoral votes to sink in. His political involvement began in earnest in 1984 when he joined the Baylor College Republicans, Bears for Gramm, Young Conservatives of Texas, and a number of other campus political organizations. In February of 1999, Bill was elected Chairman of the Williamson County Republican Party, and is completing his eighth term. He is the longest serving Republican Party Chairman in Williamson County history, but still has a long way to go to top Dr. Wally Wilkerson who has been Republican Party Chairman of Montgomery County since 1964. Bill has served as an officer in the Texas Republican County Chairmen's Association, as precinct chairman, election judge, and on numerous committees. He has served as an alternate delegate to one Republican Party of Texas State Convention and as a delegate to ten conventions. He was honored to be chosen as an alternate delegate to the 2000 Republican National Convention. Bill has lived in Round Rock since 1995. In his very limited spare time, he likes to read, travel, watch sports, entertain, and enjoy all the great amenities (live music, food, comedy, museums, etc) that central Texas has to offer. He is also an avid collector and currently collects autographed books, patriotic Christmas ornaments (sporting one of the most politically-themed trees in central Texas), other political memorabilia, and in the past has collected everything from coins, stamps, baseba...(read more)
