About	Michael spent his first years in a 2-story white house his dad built on Jefferson Street ... in a subdivision his dad developed. When he was almost 2, he moved to his dad's dream house 3 miles west of Kouts - the big white house with the sheep, horses, goat, box car, and fort in the woods made by dad's friend. At 3, he was diagnosed with leukemia and wasn't expected to live. Kouts people were extraordinarily kind and gracious to Michael and the whole family. Michael miraculously thrived and the family moved to Zionsville in 1977. MJ filled his life with music and adventure, got degreed, and assisted college students with disabilities. He discovered a brain tumor in 2002, worked hard to keep it at bay and lived a happy life until it took him in 2007. He has 2 little girls and a wife -- his high school sweetheart! It was great to find all those old photos from summer camps on the playground at school, photos from the Kouts pool.... candy cane pillars and santa on the roof of the house!
