Tom DeLong
Class of 1956
All American Guard -Footballl
Senior guard Tom DeLong turned the spotlight on himself and on LaMoillle when he was placed on the eight-man All-American football team this year. Tommy was nominated by coaches in this area and was given a first-team guard berth. His inspired play led LaMoillle to a second place position in the Little "8" conference standings.
He was also unanimously elected to the conference first team and was given an honorable mention rating among the state's best. He rightly deserves these honors, for his leadership, hard work, and football ability drew many plaudits throughout the season.
