Dourlas Paul Blackmon

Class of 1972

Douglas Paul Blackmon (01/20/1954 to 05/19/2017)
Doug left the LaPorte area in his early 20's and headed to Terlingua, Texas. He had seven siblings. It is possible that he was the class of 1973 but we could not establish this. He lived as a survivalist and was known as the borderline pseudo psychiatrist who ran the largest open air insane asylum from The Porch at the Terlingua Trading Post where he combined mental health therapy and medicine for a small fee. He was also featured in a film "The Badlands" by National Geographic.
