Graduation Year Class of 1972
Date of Passing Sep 09, 2014
About August 25, 1952 to September 1, 2014

After graduation, Michael moved to Houston, Texas and worked at a chemical plant for many years. In 1974, he married Carolyn Singleton and they raised two children, Michelle and Joseph. Michael was a firefighter for 29 years for the Cloverleaf Volunteer Fire Department. He served in a number of elected positions, including Captain, Assistant Chief and Chief. He served as Chief for 11 years. He was elected and served in many chair positions for Harris County Firefighter's Association. In 2007, Michael was elected "Firefighter of the Year" and was on the Board for the North Channel Emergency Medical Service. Michael's health began to fail and he retired from all of his positions. At that time, he focused on his family, cooking, fishing, playing dominoes and spending time in the country. Michael was a man of many skills and talents. His ability to bring a smile to the faces of his colleagues and those he loved was his greatest asset. In 2014, he was survived by his wife, their two children, one brother, two grandchildren and one great grandson along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
