About	On December 27, 2020, James Edmond Collins, lovingly referred to as Jim, passed away at the age of 68. Jim was born in St Johns, Newfoundland on August 24, 1952 to Dean and Betty Collins. In his teenage years, Jim’s family moved to LaPorte, Texas, where he graduated high school. After high school, Jim served in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Spain. In 1979 Jim received a degree in accounting from the University of Texas Arlington. As life went on, Jim’s family began to expand, first welcoming Jake in 1980, followed by Ryan in 1982, then later Megan in 1990. Jim lived in Texas before settling into life in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he lived for over 27 years. Jim had a passion for music, horses, fishing, and spending time with friends and family. He is remembered for his warm hearted demeanor, strong work ethic, and fun-loving nature. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Jim was preceded in death by his mother and father. He is survived by his son Jake Collins, wife Tiffany, and grandsons, Jameson and Everett; son Ryan Collins, wife Amber, and grandchildren Macy and Landon; daughter Megan Collins, husband Martin, and granddaughter Luna; brother Phil Collins, and wife Sara; wife DeeAnn Collins; stepdaughter Allice Carlo and granddaughters Amanda and Ashley; stepson Jason Alper, wife Julia, and granddaughter Vivian; stepdaughter Kimberly Alper, and grandchildren Jacob and Adalyn; as well as many other extended family and friends who loved him dearly.
