After h.s., went on to play baseball at Macomb. C.C. then on to Wayne St. Went into coaching at the college level, played against Kirk Gibson, Rick Leach and Steve Howe, and other lesser name pro players. Got hooked up with Ernie Whitt (from Roseville Brabelec) and he got me in as a batting practice pitcher with the Blue Jays in 1894, then caught up with Gibson & Dave Bergman and they recommended me to throw with Detroit. Spent the summers throwing b.p. for Detroit from 1985-1991. Went into professional coaching for 17 years in places like Kalamazoo, San Angelo TX, Sioux Falls S.Dak, Schaumburg Ill, Parkersburg W.Va and spent a summer in Caserta Italy. Made cameo appearances in the movies: Ron LeFlore, One in a Million, 61* by Billy Crystal and Hardball with Keanu Reeves. Now ready to retire, can't go any higher on the baseball chain. Also won 5 minor league championship rings. My kids have many interesting things to talk about with their experiences with the family.
