Lindblom Recognizes Its Fallen Eagles

If you know of a Lindblom alumni who has passed - it does not matter when - send their name (maiden name please), graduation year, and school activities, if you know them, and a few details about their life after Lindblom. We are looking for career, military service, college, hobbies, awards, family, anything that spoke to their passions. Our obituaries all include a maroon and gold framed senior, or other, school picture, school activities, and a short description of their life after Lindblom. It is published in The Reunion News which is sent out March through October to your email. Send all information to lthsreunion2010@aol.com. Include any additional emails (including your own) that you would like the issue with your family or friends obituary sent. All emails are confidential.

Dorothy Walsh Alyward

Dorothy Walsh Aylward Class of ‘53
The girls L Cup winner for January ’53, Dorothy was credited as winning the most awards and the only girl in Lindblom history to be on both Cheerleaders and GAA Board & Cabinet. She also kept busy as Secretary of Honor Society, Treasurer of Girls Chorus, earned 2 Golden Eagles and was Class Salutatorian. Married for 60 years, she is survived by husband Jack who was part of the Alyward restaurant family. Dorothy chaired the English department at Naperville Central High School teaching, directing plays and inspiring students for over 28 years.

Tom Driscoll Class of '65

Thomas Driscoll ‘65
Dressed in his ROTC uniform or proudly wearing his SBC arm
band, Tom was a familiar sight at Lindblom. He was Treasurer
of the January class, earned 4 S Certificates, with 7 semesters
on honor society and had Perfect Attendance. Tom is survived
by his wife Alice and sons John and William. Tom was a successful Chicago realtor for over 30 years.

Death of Lindblom Alumni--Frank Brown Jr. "Class of 1969"

My older brother Frank Brown Jr. "Class of 1969" passed on August 11, 2014. He transitioned on the night his 63rd birthday. He was diagnosed with Colon Cancer on Father's Day night, on June 15, 2014. Within, 4 days shy of 2 months after being diagnosed and an emergency surgery, he was gone. He passed peacefully into his next life, surrounded by family, friends and clergy. He resided in Chicago his entire life. I urge everyone to "NOT IGNORE WARNING SIGNS," when it comes to your health. Get your Colonoscopy, Mammograms/Well Woman Visits and (Men) PSA checks in a timely manner. This could ultimately "SAVE YOUR LIFE!" CANCER IS NO JOKE! I have lost too many family members and friends to this Dreaded Disease!

Dr. James Tucker - President Class of 1968

I will post more when I receive the information, but the funeral was held in Los Angeles on Saturday September 6th.
I was Vice President of the Class of 1968. James attended a couple of Phil Perry shows, as recently as three years ago. I must say that I hardly recognized him.

Death of a Lindblom Alumni

I am sad to report the death of Belinda (Colbert) Glenn, class of 1968. Belinda passed away on Tuesday October 4, 2011 after a short illness. Prayers go out to her family.
