What is Shock Linwood known for?

Born on October 13, 1993, in Linden, Texas, Rashoderick "Shock" Linwood is an American former college football running back known for his remarkable career. Linwood is a proud alumnus of Linden-Kildare High School, where his versatile traits were showcased as he played roles such as running back, quarterback, linebacker, defensive back and kick returner. As a junior, he led Kildare to a 10-3 record and the regional semifinals, rushing for 1,473 yards and 18 touchdowns. His senior year was also impressive, earning him Class 2A All-State running back and honorable mention All-State quarterback titles. Linwood was also selected as the 2011 District 8-2A Player of Year and made the 2011 East Texas All-Area first team as a running back.

After high school, Linwood attended Baylor University from 2012 to 2016. He had an outstanding college career that saw him perform exceptionally well, particularly as a sophomore in 2014 when he rushed for 1,252 yards and 16 touchdowns. This incredible performance led Baylor to their second consecutive Big 12 title. Linwood was also considered a possible contender for the prestigious Heisman Trophy during the 2015 season. During his final season in 2016, he chose to sit out the post-season Cactus Bowl to focus on a possible NFL career.

Throughout his college career, Linwood earned several accolades, including being named to the All-Big 12 Team in 2014 and winning the Big 12 champion title twice, in 2013 and 2014. With impressive stats, he left a lasting mark as a part of the Baylor Bears football team.
