Kenneth N. McLaughlin

Class of 1975

Ken has been teaching Jr. High and High School for 29 years. He started out as an Industrial Arts teacher in 1983. Since the advent of technology he has taught Technology Lab, Principles and Engineering and now is teaching Automation and Robotics. For a period of 18 months Ken taught at the Utah State Prison helping inmates earn their GED. We have been involved in a student club, (TSA) Technology Student Association. In that time we have had 65 state champions, 48 2nds, and 44 3rds in the state of Utah. We have had 17 individuals or teams place in the top 10 nationally , with one national champion and a third place finish.
Ken has been awarded 14 teaching awards in his high school teaching. Several have been technology program, teacher of the year both in the state of Utah and nationally and several school and community awards.
