About	Mary Rymer Berryman was murdered in northern Alabama in November 2015. She attended Sam Houston, Maryville Middle, and Maryville High School. She was part of the class of 1998. May she rest in peace. She forgave most of the people who made rude comments about her obesity and made fun of her everyday. If you’re one of those people, hopefully you’re raising your children to have more empathy and compassion for others than you had! The bullying Mary constantly received led to her moving to Alabama, hoping to never see the mean people she dealt with on a daily basis, it also led to her extremely low self esteem and self worth, which is ultimately a contributing factor in her death, as she was murdered by her boyfriend, who was abusive - Mary gravitated towards abusive relationships because that was all she had ever known. She may have never been accepted by her peers, but if you actually had the opportunity to really know her, you would have seen the beautiful human she truly was and maybe if her peers had been more kind, she would still be alive today, knowing she was worth way more than to be strangled and stomped to death by the man she settled for because she simply never developed self respect during her developmental years. Her life and death is a cautionary tale against bullying and intolerance.
