After graduating high school I joined the military and worked as a medic in the Army. I became married during this time and traveled to Germany, France and Spain , living in Germany for 2 years. I used my GI bill to go to college and become a Registered Nurse, working in multiple disciplines during my career. After a 27 year employment with the Virginia Dept of Health, I retired, and along with my husband, traveled the United States in an RV for five years, finding beauty in every state we visited, especially Alaska. We bought a house in McKenzie this year so we can spend quality time with my mother and my father who still live in this area. I’ve been blessed with 2 daughters and two grandkids whom I love beyond words. Not much of a story here but It’s mine and I’m proud of it.
