Denver Thompson

Denver Thompson died 4-28-09. Class of 1966
Denver Dale Thompson, 61, Columbus, died at 5:05 a.m. Tuesday, April 28, 2009, at Columbus Regional Hospital after a sudden illness.
He was an employee at NTN Driveshaft and formerly was employed at GE, Cummins and Pantasote.
Born Feb. 21, 1948, in Seymour, he was the son of Harley Dale Thompson and Margie Reynolds Thompson of Medora. He lived all his life in Jackson and Bartholomew counties. He married Peggy Sons Thompson on Aug. 7, 1999, in Freetown, and she survives.
Other survivors include children, Melissa Lynn Thompson, Medora, Alan Dale (Brandy) Thompson, Indianapolis, and Tonya (Billy) Cornett, Vallonia; stepchildren, Harold Lee (Andrea) McQueen, Seymour, Anthony Lee (Tracy) McQueen, Columbus, and Christy Childers, Shelbyville; brothers, Harold Alan (Rhonda) Thompson, Medora, and Bobby (Judy) Thompson, Medora; sister, Brenda (Joe) Beyers, Medora; grandchildren, Mallory Thompson, Cameron Thompson and Derek Cornett; stepgrandchildren, Chris McQueen, Sarah McQueen, A.J. McQueen, Lora McQueen, Ashley Ellenburg, Jacob Lovell, Katie Lovell and Stephanie Clifton; and a stepgreat-grandchild, Macy Jo Littrell.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Johnson Funeral Home, Vallonia, with Skip Breeden officiating. Burial will be at White River Valley Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and from noon until time of service Friday at the funeral home.
