Mendel Alumni Association Christmas Celebration

To All Monarchs:

Please join us this Tuesday December 19th from 11 AM to 2 PM at JJ KELLEYS PUB in Lansing Illinois for the 2023 Mendel Alumni Association Christmas Celebration Luncheon!

The Celebration will include a delicious Family Style Luncheon, Mendel "stuff" to procure, Split the Pot Raffles, a Mendel Fight Song or Two, and the opportunity to share some old memories while making some new memories with your Monarch Brothers.

We are asking for a minimum donation of $25 at the door for this event. A portion of the funds will be given to the Mendel Alumni Association Legacy Scholarship Fund.

Please also bring a new winter hat, gloves or socks that can be given to needy families in the Chicagoland area.

Join your Monarch Brothers to kick off the Christmas Spirit in style this Tuesday December 19 at JJ KELLEYS PUB at 2455 Bernice Road in Lansing, Illinois. Spread the word!

For planning purposes, if you think you will attend, please send me a return message saying "I plan to be there!"

Here are two upcoming opportunities for you to reconnect with your Mendel Brothers:

MENDEL ALUMNI ASSOCIATION GOLF OUTING TOMORROW WEDNESDAY JULY 12, 2023

The next opportunity to gather with your Mendel Classmates will be the Alumni Association Annual Golf Outing tomorrow Wednesday July 12, 2023 at Hickory Hills Golf Course. 2023 Golf Outing | Mendel C.H.S. (mendelchs.org) The shotgun start will be at 9:00 AM.

The cost to golf is $150. You can register a foursome, or we can pair you up with other golfers if you register only yourself. Bring your spouse and/or your friends and other family members. Golf is great way to spend some quality time with your sons or daughters and/or grandchildren.

If you are not a golfer, you can enjoy the festivities and a dinner for $50. Whether you golf or not, use this opportunity to gather up some of your Classmates for your own “Mini Informal Class Reunion” to share some memories and catch up with your Mendel buddies.

You can Sponsor a Hole for $100. Consider taking out a Hole Sponsor Sign in honor of your Class and/or your departed Classmates, or to thank one of your Mendel teachers and/or coaches. Golf Outing Hole Sponsorship | Mendel C.H.S. (mendelchs.org)

A portion of the proceeds from the Golf Outing will be used to support the Mendel Alumni Association Legacy Scholarship Program.

MENDEL MORNING OF REFLECTION RETREAT AND REDEICATION OF MENDEL HALL WEDNESDAY AUGUST 2, 2
The “Mendel Morning of Reflection” event, organized by the Mendel Alumni Association will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at the St. Rita High School Chapel, located at 7740 South Western in Chicago, IL. This will be a n opportunity for deep introspection and spiritual renewal.

In the company of loved ones, including spouses, family, and friends, we invite you to embrace this moment of reflection, starting with registration at 8:30 AM. The morning’s program includes thought-provoking discussions, moments of prayer, Eucharistic Adoration, and a tour of 28 Holy Shrines. The day will culminate with a beautiful Mass and a final blessing at 12:00 PM.
