About	Germaine Sandra Stanton, age 50, of Rockford, Ill., passed away Sunday, Aug. 6, 2000, at her home after a courageous and lengthy battle with bone cancer. She was born Dec. 22, 1949, in Red Wing, Minn., the first child and daughter of Arthur and Inez (Skog) Zielieke. Germaine moved to Menomonie at age 5. She grew up in the Menomonie area, attended school, and graduated in 1968 from Menomonie High School. After graduation, she engaged in Bible educational work. She was married to Gregory Stanton on Dec. 24, 1977, and spent the last 23 years in the Rockford area. She is survived by her husband, Gregory; her mother, Inez; three brothers, La Moine (Mickey) Zielieke of Knapp, Dean (Ann) Zielieke of Menomonie, and Gale (Cindy) Zielieke of Hudson; seven nieces and nephews; an uncle, Eldon (Ruby) Skog; and two aunts, Dorothy (Zielieke) Roed and Viola (Zielieke) Knabb. Her father, Arthur Zielieke, preceded her in death. A memorial service was held Saturday, Aug. 12, 2000, in Rockford.
