About	WORCESTER - Oliver S. McBride, 78, died March 17, 2008. He leaves his wife of 54 years, Pearl (Krikorian) McBride; a son, Peter M. McBride of Northboro; a daughter, Karen A. King; a grandson, Joshua McBride of Northboro; a brother- and several sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews. A son, Daniel, died in 1994. He was born in Mount Pleasant, Michigan on January 26, 1930. He was the son of William and Rachel (Potter) McBride. His brothers, Burgess, Gastell, and Dean McBride and his sister, Ruth McBride, all predeceased him. He graduated from Mount Pleasant High School and Boston University. He was a mechanical engineer with Raytheon Co. for many years. He was an U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean War. He was a member of the Armenian Church of Our Saviour, Boston University Alumnae and NEDDMA. Funeral services were held March 19, at the Armenian Church of Our Saviour. Burial was in Hope Cemetery. Nordgren Memorial Chapel directed arrangements.

When I was a freshman in 1948, Olive was our senior pole-vaulter for MPHS. I was also a vaulter and remember 0liver well. Kay Keffer, class of 1951..
