While metal detetecting a ring was found. We are trying to return it to the right owner. We were hoping if we provided a description of the ring you may be able to help us with our endeavor. Description follows: Manufactured by Herff Jones, (HJ10K - is stamped on the inside of the ring) HJ = Herff Jones and 10K = 10 Karat white gold 2008 - Is the year she graduated The letters NC (with the N and C equally centered and superimposed over each other) on the top of a narrow, nearly rectangular, darkish purple stone. (possibly amythest?) On the immediate left of the stone is the letter H, and on the right side of the stone is the letter S. HS = High school, I surmise... So it is probably NC High School, although the internet shows a bunch of schools with those initials. (NCHS) Some school names. Something that might narrow down the name of the school is this: On one side of the ring, it has a nice engraving of a American Indian figure riding horseback, holding the reigns with one hand and holding a spear, or an arrow, in the other hand. Research says that this style of mascot could be called many different things: Indians, Braves, Redskins, Warriors, Raiders, different Tribal names, etc... Another engraving on the side oposite the Indian figure depicts a soccer player leaning in to kick a small ball. Beneath the soccer player, in another engraving, is what appears to be either a volleyball or a soccer ball. (Maybe she played both Soccer and Volleyball?) Between the Soccer player and the stone is the name Christina. LCM is engraved in Fancy script on the inside. I found it in the ocean in about 4 feet of water under 4 inches of sand on 08 January 2012. The location of where I found it will be a secret for now, with the owner telling me where she might have lost the ring. I figure we are looking for a female born in 1990 (18 years old in 2008, now 22 years old in 2012) who likes to be called Christina. My name is Kathy/email is tklee143@yahoo.com.
