About Woman critically injured in N. Whitehall crash

A 40-year-old woman was critically injured Tuesday when a truck ran a red light and smashed into her car in North Whitehall Township, state police at Bethlehem said.

Police said a contractor's truck driven by Dale M. Sell III of Slatington was heading south on Mauch Chunk Road at 6:02 p.m. when he went through a red light at Levans Road, hitting a sedan driven by Antoinette J. Haubert of Orefield in the intersection.


Antoinette J. Haubert , 40, of Orefield, died Monday, May 30, 2011, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the wife of Wade B. Haubert, Jr. The couple celebrated their 8th wedding anniversary last September. She was the loving mother of Brandon M. Haines of Orefield. Born in Allentown, June 5, 1970, she was the daughter of Alex Balliet, Sr. and Nancy (Kunkle) Balliet of Walnutport. She graduated from Northampton Area High School in 1988 and Cedar Crest College in 1997. Antoinette was an accountant for Essroc Cement Company in Bath for the past three years. She was previously employed as an accountant for Air Products in Trexlertown for ten years. She was an avid runner who enjoyed participating in 5k events to support her favorite charities, including Turning Point of the Lehigh Valley and Breast Cancer Awareness. Antoinette was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Allentown. Survivors: Loving husband; parents; son; brothers, Alex Balliet, Jr. and Jay Balliet, both of Walnutport; niece, Jennifer Balliet of Walnutport, and countless friends whose lives she touched.
