About Joshua Patrick Tierney, 28 years old, passed away on August 08, 2009. He was born in Houston, Texas on June 28, 1981. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Don Lee of Oakwood, Texas and grandparents, Tom and Goldia Tierney of Houston, TX. He is survived by his parents, Steve and Debbie Tierney of Spring, TX, sister and brother-in-law, Hannah and Bill White of Spring, TX, grandmother, Mickey Lee of Oakwood, TX, uncle and aunt, Rev. D. Allen Lee and Vickie Lee of Jacinto City, TX, and cousins, Matthew and Caleb Lee of Jacinto City, TX, many family members and many friends.

Joshua graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 1999. He received his Bachelors Degree in Political Science from Baylor University, his Masters in Public Administration from Sam Houston State University, and was to begin his PHD studies this September 2009, in Denver, Colorado, to earn his Doctorate in Education. He lived in Englewood, Colorado the past three years and was a Data Research Specialist in the Department of Institutional Research at Arapahoe Community College in Littleton, Colorado. Although he dearly loved Colorado, Texas was his home. He was a member of Spring First Church in Spring, Texas and a supporter of the newly planted LifePoint Church in Magnolia, Texas. Joshua was a loving son, brother, grandson, family member, and friend.

The family will greet friends from 5-7 P.M. Thursday, August 13, 2009 at Spring First Church 1851 Spring Cypress Road, Spring, TX. 77388. A Funeral service celebrating Joshua's life will begin at 7 P.M. following the visitation.The graveside ceremony will follow on Friday, August 14th at 11:00am at Oakwood City Cemetery in Oakwood, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joshua Tierney's name to The Epilepsy Foundation of America (www.epilepsyfoundation.org) or The Joshua Tierney Scholarship Fund at LifePoint Church in Magnolia, Texas (P.O.
