About	LOVINGTON - Betty Faye Harris Young, of Clinton, AR. passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at the age of 79. She was born October 5, 1928 in Searcy, AR. to Ella and Eb Harris; a graduate of Searcy High School, she went on to obtain a degree in education from Harding College and build a career as an elementary school teacher. Se taught in Brookland, AR.; Gosnell school in Blytheville, AR.; Searcy, AR; and Nashville, TN. She settled in Lovington, IL with her husband and two children and taught in Bethany, IL. From 1969 to 1992. She was an active member of the Illinois Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa teacher's sorority during her years. She continued to serve her community after retiring to Clinton by volunteering at the Van Buren Adult Literacy Program. Betty was preceded in death by her parents and her three brothers James, Bill and Buck Harris. She is survived by her husband of 50 years Robert Thomas Young SR. (Bob) her two children Linda Susan Young Crader (Sue) of Medford, OR; Robert Thomas Young Jr. (Tom) of Indianapolis, IN.; and her four grandchildren Clara and John Crader and Jennifer and Aaron Young. Betty was a member of the First Baptist Church in Clinton, AR. Betty was a kind, gentle and thoughtful person who was much loved by all who knew her.
