About	Cheryl J.Howell class of January,1963,passed away suddenly at Little Co.of Mary Hospital.She grew up on39th and King Drive.While at Phillips she was an active participant in school activities,her favorite was in the Accappella Choir,under Mr.Duncan.She was a member for 60 years at the Progressive Baptist Church Chicago.She dedicated her life to the education of Chicago's youth,as a teacher in Chicago PublicSchools,where she retired in 2007.She also served on the Centennial Scholarship committee.She enjoyed attending ,the Prayer Breakfast,Blue and White Gala,sock hops,and she also sang with the PHS Alumni Choir.She had a daughter,son in law and two grandchildren ,whom she loved!She was the friend/ Sister in law of Pamela Freeman Howell67'.She will be sorely missed!
