About	Pastor Robert J. Rands Jr., 55 of Port Huron, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 30, 2007. He was born to Robert and Alice Rands Sr. on July 25, 1952, attended the Port Huron Schools, and graduated from Port Huron High School in 1970. Robert then graduated from Midwestern Baptist College and was ordained at Emanuel Baptist Church in Pontiac. On July 22, 1972, he married Cathy A. Harrell. He served in the gospel ministry for 35 years and was currently pastor of Smiths Creek Bible Church. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Cathy Rands; his three children, Amy Rands of Port Huron, Jason W. (Lisa) Rands of Port Huron, and Jeremy (Michelle) Rands of Milford, OH; six grandchildren, Richard, Jacob, Kayleigh, Paige, Mackenzie, and Autumn; three brothers, James A. (Kay) Rands, Raymond F. Rands, and Thomas R. (Gloria) Rands; three sisters, Rebecca M (Neal) Hendrigsman, Laura J. (Harold) Upleger, and Priscilla A. (Kent) Powell; a special aunt, Phyllis Jenkins; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, and a sister, Sharon Rands.
