About	My good friend, Bob Posack, passed away on March 18, 2012 between 3 am and 6:30 am. He was 87 years old. Bob was a very loyal Proviso East varsity boys basketball fan, attending most of the games for approximately 50+ years between 1955 and 2005. Although he was unable to attend any of the games in recent years because of poor health, Bob followed Proviso East's fortunes with much interest, especially this year's incredible team. Bob knew that the team was playing for the state championship in class 4A and that the team was undefeated, but I think he died in his sleep without knowing the outcome. We met at Proviso East basketball games during the Glen Rivers/Ricky Wilson era. Over the years, we attended many games together and had a lot of fun supporting PE basketball teams. He was a dear friend, a generous man, and he will be sorely missed. Go Pirates! (Bob is the one on the left in the photo; I (Bill Arndt) am on the right.
