About Services for Steven Craig Potts, 53, of Arbala, formerly of Alba, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 18, 2012, at the Enon Baptist Church, Alba, with Bro. Billy Smith officiating.

Burial will be in Arbala Cemetery, under direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.
Mr. Potts passed away Friday, December 14, 2012, in Nash, Oklahoma.

He was born August 25, 1959, in Greenville, to William Ervin and Linda Ann Sanders Potts.
He was a 1978 graduate of Alba-Golden High School. He married Carol Pledger February 24, 1997, in Sulphur Springs. He had lived in Arbala since 1997. He was a drilling consultant in the oil and gas industry and a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. William Potts; and nephews, Joseph and Randy Noland.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Potts of Arbala; mother, Linda Ann Sanders of Alba; daughters Leah Potts McCarthy and husband Kevin of Emory, and Kimberly Vititow of Sulphur Springs; son, Brian Fairchild of Arbala; brothers, David Potts and wife Christy of Livingston and Brock Potts and wife Greta of Golden; sisters, Darlene Blanton and husband Ronald of Emory, Elizabeth Potts of Alba, Mary Cook of Dayton, Jami Smith and husband Aaron of Chapel Hill, and Nina Burns of Alba; grandchildren, Kaleb McCarthy, Tristan and Levi Fairchild, Jaden Vititow, and Cohen Smith; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers are Brock Potts, David Potts, Josh Potts, Darlene Blanton, Ronald Blanton, Jr., Brian Fairchild, and Jerry Scott Adair.

Honorary Pallbearer is Billy Sanders.

Family will receive friends Monday evening at the funeral home 6-8 p.m.
