About	Eric was a good kid-- kind of quiet in high school, but he had no problems speaking his mind. I was told he died in a motorcycle accident in Arizona. Eric James Patterson of Avondale, Ariz., formerly of Andalusia, passed away Oct. 27, 2002, in Canyon Lake, Ariz., at the age of 31. Eric was the youngest of five children. He was born in Moline on Oct. 20, 1971. He is survived by his father, Jessie Patterson; mother, Roberta Patterson; partner in life, JoAnne Landis; and four siblings, Debra Patterson Lawson, Jesse Patterson, Douglas Patterson and Nancy Patterson. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents. He was employed by Arizona State University, where he was a technology support analyst. He also owned Realitys Oasis, a consulting business specializing in advanced technology. Before attending classes at ASU, he attended St. Ambrose University in Iowa, Black Hawk College in Illinois and Estrella Community College in Arizona. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan, Ill. Visitation is noon to 2 p.m. followed by interment at Beulah Cemetery, Rural Township, Rock Island County. Memorials may be made to the family.
