About	Mark D. Verschoore, 61, of Moline, died Monday, June 19, 2017 at Rosewood Care Center, Moline. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 am on Friday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Andalusia. Burial is at the Reynolds Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 7 pm Thursday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 201 E. 4 Ave, Milan. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Milan, the Wounded Warrior Project, or to Homeless Veterans. Mark Donald Verschoore was born Sept. 19, 1955 in Rock Island, a son of Donald and Karen Schneider Verschoore. He graduated from Alleman High School in 1973. Mark had worked as a plumber/welder through the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union 25, Rock Island and retired in 2010. Mark was a long-time member and past president of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union 25. He served as Plumbing Inspector for the Village of Milan. Mark had a Black Belt in Taekwondo, enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with his step-grandchildren. Survivors include his mother, Karen; sisters and brother, Victoria (Dan) Weller, Edgington, Scott (Veronica) Verschoore, Aledo, Lori Montgomery, Taylor Ridge, Michele (Darrell) Day, Rock Island, Colleen Verschoore, Taylor Ridge, and Collette Maranda, Milan; special friend, Linda Roos, Milan; nieces and nephews; and step-grandchildren, Alexis, Paul and Connor. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald.
