About Aline Dolan Winkler, 90, a life long resident of Rush County, passed away Friday evening, February 10, 2012 in Rushville. Aline was born on September 7, 1922 in Fayette County to Glen & Mabel Suter Dolan.

She was a New Salem High School graduate and received her BA in Business & Accounting from Eastern Kentucky in 1945. Aline married Robert Jesse Winkler on May 6, 1945 and he preceded her in death on February 5, 1999.

Aline was a life long educator in Rush County. She taught business at Manilla and New Salem and then in 1968 for Rushville when the schools consolidated. She was the Senior class sponsor many years and went on numerous Senior trips. She retired in 1987. Aline continued to substitute teach well into her 80's. She had been a member of the Rushville First Baptist Church and the Four Square Gospel Church in New Castle. She was a member of the Rush County Retired Teacher's Association.

She is survived by her son, Robby & wife Karyn Winkler of Marshall, MI, her daughter, Donna Borgerding of Fishers, her brother, Virgil & wife Norma Lee Dolan of Rush County, granddaughter, Kelly & husband Jeff Marcum of Morristown and their children, Ashtyn & Charli and grandson, Ryan & wife Becky Borgerding and their children, Knox & Alexa.

In addition to her parents and husband, Aline was preceded in death by a brother, Glen H. Dolan and a sister, June Griner.

Services will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, February 15 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville where friends are welcome to visit from 4 until 8 PM Tuesday.

Pastor Mick Saunders will preside and burial will be in the Arlington East Hill Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of South Central Indiana or the Gideon's Society.
